The organization that was selected as a model program for the country by the White House and the U.S. Department of Education is here on campus and we've designed an incredible enrichment packed program for students enrolled in the pre-kindergarten class. The Castle Heights STAR Little Dipper Program will be held Monday through Thursday in two rotations; the first begins at 8:20-12:10 and the second rotation 10:40-2:15.
What is the Little Dipper Program?
The STAR Little Dipper Program is for students enrolled in the pre-k class who want to extend their school day through innovative, fun and educational enrichment programming. Unlike the usual recreation programs, our classes are college classes for kids. The difference is the quality, background and experience of our instructors. Our enrichment teachers include: well known artists; college and university instructors; experienced certified teachers; and other recognized specialists in their field.
To Register:
Pick up a registration packet from the STAR office. Fill out the requested information and attach a check, payable to STAR, that includes the registration fee, security deposit, and the first payment. Turn form and check into the STAR Administrator. Please do not leave forms or checks in the school office.

HOW IT WORKS
When coming to STAR, all Little Dippers will be met at the STAR room at 8:20 every Monday-Friday for sign-in. Parents/guardians must sign out their child daily. If someone other than the parent/guardian is to pick up the child, a written note must be presented to the STAR Little Dipper Teacher. Please be patient during the initial weeks of the program; we will be asking for photo identification to ensure the safety of the children enrolled.
REGISTRATION FEES:
A $65 non-refundable registration fee is due for the school year. A $100 security deposit is also due for the school year. This fee can be deducted from your June payment, or kept toward the next year if you are joining us for the STAR kindergarten program.
